Welcome to the Blender Animation Page
- Click the Scene button
- Number of the current frame. In this case, the 10th frame is being
edited. Each time you advance this ("up" arrow increments by 10) you can
then "lock" it in place by pressing the "i" key.
- Allows you to set the width of the rendered images (measured in pixels).
If you will be using the files to create a GIF animation, smaller is better.
180 is a good size.
- Allows you to set the Height of the rendered image. 150 is a good size.
- Select "JPEG" if you will be making a gif animation.
- Once everything else is set up, the "ANIM" button will begin rendering
the individual frames of your animation.
- "Play" will play back your animation.
- This is the frame number you wish to start with. It really doesn't
matter what number you use here (1 is the default).
- This is the last frame in the sequence. For GIF animations, it is best
to minimize the number of frames. In the animation world, the greater the
number of frames, the smoother the animation, however, over the internet,
the smaller the animation and the fewer the frames, the more likely your
audience will stay around to view it! No more than 30 frames!
- Directory where you will save the rendered images. Use the full path!
If the directory does not exist, blender will create it for you! Remember
to put a / at the end!
- By selecting "Extensions", the .jpg extension will be added to each file
created.
- OSA gives a much higher quality final render. The number 16 is the best
quality.
Remember to save it as a .blend !!!
