The Finnegan Group

The newly-created Finnegan Group assumes the role of editing and maintaining the school website to help current students and parents keep up to date with life at Vancouver College and to help prospective students learn about not only the activities at Vancouver College, but the spirit and tradition as well.  The Finnegan Group is operated entirely by current students of the school with staff moderation.  The Group's goal is to present the school in a positive context, reflecting the excellence that characterizes Vancouver College, not only to the VC community but also to the whole world.

The group is structured so that any student can participate whether or not he has any computer skills.  While some Finnegan Group members will be concerned with technical aspects of the site, the majority of the members will be attending school events and collecting information from staff and student groups and then submitting it to a moderator for approval and posting.  Any computer skills necessary will be taught to students who need them.

Group members receive credit for volunteer hours for all work completed and gain a valuable asset for a resume.  The Finnegan Group is open to new members throughout the year.  Students can pick up applications from various locations around the school such as the Main Office and the Finnegan Group Room beside the Football Office.
